Sorry

I never did get back to you.

My life is a bit too chaotic for the time being for any calm saturday mornings or the coffee that goes with it.  Therefore, I shall not be posting again for awhile.

My heart means well and will return once my feet land on steady ground.

Hello....and Happy New Year 2012!

We have been away from posting on this blog since.....Sept 2009...and have decided this is the year to get it's engines up and running again...as is our good intention.
W has been busy keeping everyone up to date with our activity via FB, Twitter and G+ but there has not been somewhere that is mine to share my tuppence worth.
So that said we....I....hope to do this! As the title of this blog suggests this blog will be a 'weekend thing' which is most likely when I will have time to post.

So stay tuned family and friends and get a glimpse as to what we are planning....over Saturday Morning Coffee.

Here's the latest micro I found whilst geocaching, hidden in plain sight.

Just to give you an idea what the typical geocacher is up against!

Demons vs Zombies

Yesterday morning my wife woke up and turned to me to tell me about the dream/nightmare she'd had.

D: "It was terrible, I dreamt I was fighting Demons all night."
Me: "No kidding, I was fighting Zombies!"
D: "Really? That's so strange. We're you using Jesus' Name to protect yourself?"
Me: "No, I was using a 12 gage shotgun."

True story.

Watchmen: Reading the Novel before the Movie

I have finally caved in and bought the graphic novel behind the film that everyone is talking about.

However there is a logic to my impulse buy. Traditionally I've watched movies then read the novels, and always found myself comparing the novel to the movie, sometimes even finding myself disappointed.

Despite this novel being a 'classic' the special effects in the movie are going to blow apart the 80's pop art style of the original novel, so I want to get that out of the way, as well as having the benefit of watching the movie and comparing it with the original.

I'm not one of those people who generally complain when a movie or book skips or changes the original story, but there is a different feel to something when you have experienced something in one medium and are now watching/reading in another.
